Here's the Beef

My next step for smoothing the ride was to replace the little 12" wheels with tires that require 90 psi to carry their specified load. I don't have metal-working tools. So I was pleased to discover these ABS plastic fenders that could clear larger wheels and tires. I didn't go too big because larger tires are usually Class C or D. I wanted Class B tires that are intended to carry the lighter loads I usually have. These Loadstar ST175/80D13 tires are rated for 1100-lbs each at just 35 psi. I wish they were speed-rated for higher than 65 mph. But, really, I think it's safe enough to go 70-75 mph with my loads since they're usually a third of what the tires are rated to carry.
